Viniplus is a guidebook for quality wine productions in Lombardy, edited by Associazione Italiana Sommelier Lombardia (Italian Organisation for Sommeliers in Lombardy).

Wine evaluation from Guida AIS Lombardia is expressed, after a tasting following methods established by AIS, through a scale from one to four Camunian Roses (a famous rock carving found out in Lombardy dating from the Bronze Age). Those wines containing a substantially low level of sulphur dioxide (maximum 75mg/l of SO2) receive a Green Camunian Rose, while the Golden Camunian Rose, in addition to taking into account the organoleptic characteristics, awards the production consistency of every company, particularly if oriented towards enhancing vines, wine varieties and areas of production.

As far as Bergamo province is concerned, VINIPLUS 2020 points out a total amount of 91 wines from 28 producers: six located in the wine areas to the West of Bergamo and twenty-two situated to the East, among which Villa Domizia, located in Torre de Roveri. Established in 1982 by four brothers Maurizio, Giampietro, Enrico and Luca Rota, Villa Domizia produces circa 80.000 bottles of wine sold with nine different labels and has started to shift to organic wineVINIPLUS 2020 certifies the quality of three of its wines by assigning three Camunian Roses to Gaudes 2015 (Valcalepio Red); two to Gaudes Riserva 2012 (Valcalepio Red) and three to Punto Uno 2018 (Terre del Colleoni Incrocio Manzoni 6.0-13).

Rota Brothers sensitivity to taste evolution and attention to the trends of new generations of consumers have fortified Villa Domizia production distinctiveness. Attention to quality, specific soil characteristics and consumers’ health is awarded by numerous recognitions; all the three Villa Domizia wines have obtained a Green Camunian Rose.
